Abstract

Perkembangan seni seramik kontemporari kini semakin dipengaruhi oleh interaksi kompleks antara undangundang, sains bahan, dan teknologi moden. Artikel ini meneliti bagaimana penggunaan tanah liat alternatif seperti bahan buangan industri, tanah liat sintetik dan bahan mesra alam telah mencetuskan satu revolusi dalam amalan studio seramik, khususnya dari segi inovasi bahan dan pematuhan kepada kerangka perundangan berasaskan Model Praktis Studi Sermik. Aspek hak harta intelek, keselamatan bahan, undang-undang alam sekitar serta etika penggunaan sumber tempatan menjadi semakin relevan, bukan hanya kepada pengamal seni profesional, malah juga kepada institusi pendidikan seni dan generasi artis muda. Melalui pendekatan holistik, artikel ini menyoroti peranan pendidikan tinggi dalam memperkenalkan kurikulum seni yang lebih responsif terhadap isu-isu perundangan dan kemampanan bahan. Pendedahan awal kepada teknologi seperti pencetakan 3D seramik, reka bentuk CAD, serta penggunaan relau pintar memberi peluang kepada pelajar seni dan artis muda untuk membina amalan berkarya yang inovatif dan bertanggungjawab. Dalam konteks ini, revolusi studio seramik bukan sekadar transformasi teknikal, tetapi juga satu proses pendidikan nilai di mana seni menjadi jambatan antara kreativiti, sains, dan tanggungjawab sosial. Justeru, artikel ini mencadangkan agar pendidikan seni diperkasa dengan pendekatan interdisiplin agar dapat melahirkan artis muda yang bukan sahaja mahir dalam penghasilan, tetapi juga peka terhadap implikasi undang-undang dan kelestarian dalam berkarya.

The development of contemporary ceramic art is increasingly influenced by the complex interaction between law, material science, and modern technology. This article examines how the use of alternative clays such as industrial waste, synthetic clays, and environmentally friendly materials has sparked a revolution in ceramic studio practice, particularly in terms of material innovation and compliance with the legal framework based on the Ceramic Studio Practice Model. Aspects of intellectual property rights, material safety, environmental law and the ethics of using local resources are becoming increasingly relevant, not only to professional art practitioners, but also to art education institutions and a generation of young artists. Through a holistic approach, this article highlights the role of higher education in introducing an art curriculum that is more responsive to legal issues and material sustainability. Early exposure to technologies such as ceramic 3D printing, CAD design, and the use of smart kilns provides opportunities for art students and young artists to develop innovative and responsible working practices. In this context, the ceramic studio revolution is not just a technical transformation, but also a process of values ​​education where art becomes a bridge between creativity, science, and social responsibility. Therefore, this article proposes that art education be empowered with an interdisciplinary approach in order to produce young artists who are not only skilled in production, but also sensitive to the legal and sustainability implications of their work.
