Abstract

In the work reported herein a second order difference scheme is formulated and analyzed for a fourth order nonlinear differential equation. Encouraging conclusions are obtained  for the error and accompanying error norms. Computed simulations are compared with those found in literature  and they not only justify  the theory but also encourage the applicability of the scheme to  more rigorous settings involving nonlinearity and higher order partial differential equations.
