This study aims to analyze the effect of increased excitation on generator output performance at Bawean PLTMG. This generating system uses a synchronous generator with a brushless excitation system that functions to maintain voltage stability by regulating the rotor field current. The research was conducted using a quantitative descriptive method by collecting generator operation data every three hours. The parameters analyzed included active power, voltage current, reactive power, power factor, and excitation voltage. The results showed that the increase in excitation had an effect on the increase in power and current of the generator, but did not cause significant changes. The excitation system also plays a role in regulating the reactive power and power factor to keep it optimal. Therefore, the excitation system in the Bawean PLTMG generator works optimally in maintaining voltage stability and generator performance against load changes.
